A 1 hour experiential workshop focusing on relaxation techniques, mindfulness, breathing, Yoga, and desk Yoga. Participants will be given a “tool” box to use and techniques to help them throughout their day to mindfully and actively alleviate tension and work related stressors in healthy and productive ways.

Drumming & Music Making require the same kind of give and take that working together requires. Listening, responding, allowing for mistakes and communicating effectively. Drumming is a fun and effective way to bring your group together in a unique and joyful way. During the session, we will stop and bring to light situations as they occur to bring relevance to the play. How we are in play is how we are in work so it allows us a safe and objective space to learn and gain compassion for ourselves and each other.

HEALTH RHYTHMS

Health RhythmsHealth Rhythms is a Recreational Music Making program. It includes a scientifically proven protocol that has been shown to increase T cell activity, lower stress, and improve mood amongst other effects in participants of all ages. Health Rhythms is now being used in health care facilities, & corporations all over the world to help both the workers in these environments and those undergoing care.

As a “group” experience it offers a dynamic and powerful opportunity for people to come together in a unique and health promoting way. The program uses Rhythmical excercises and a therapeutic approach that combined gives a fun, relaxing and effective way to manage stress.

HealthRHYTHMS is a division within Remo Inc. that develops and provides materials, programs, training and the latest research supporting the use of drumming as an effective means for promoting and maintaining health and well-being. HealthRHYTHMS is on the forefront of establishing a solid foundation for proving the biological benefits of drumming. Neurologist Barry Bittman, M.D. and his renowned research team discovered that a specific group drumming approach significantly increased the disease fighting activity of circulating white blood cells (Natural Killer cells) that seek out and destroy cancer cells and virally-infected cells. Along with conventional medical strategies, Dr. Bittman includes group drumming in all of his disease-based programs at the Mind-Body Wellness Center.
